While pitching ideas for a mobile-first web app, I created a proposal for a productivity app, Pomopet. Pomopet would be a timer that follows the scientifically backed Pomodoro technique, where one works for 25-minute intervals with 5-minute breaks in between.

Pomopet combines the Pomodoro Technique, with Tamagotchis, with a dress-up game. Users can gain a set amount of coins for each interval that is completed, and if they leave the app before the interval is up, their pet runs away. Coins can be used to buy pet food, toys, items, and cosmetics such as accessories and poses.

One of the biggest criticisms of the Pomodoro method is that for longer tasks, 25 minutes is much too short to efficiently get anything done, as a result, within Pomopet, you can also manually adjust the timer up to 90 minutes.

Although this proposal is still a work in progress, as I am working on the necessary coding to bring this project to life, I am incredibly excited about the design and artwork that was made. As a result, I decided to put this proposal within my portfolio.
